Football presenter Laura Woods has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
Woods has become one of the biggest names in live football coverage over the last few years, having presented games for broadcasters including ITV, Amazon Prime and TNT Sports.
Last season the 37-year-old was the face of TNT Sports’ coverage of the Champions League, and this summer she presented ITV’s coverage of Euro 2024 this summer.
However, Woods will disappear from our screens in the not too distant future after announcing that she is expecting her first child.
Woods went public with her relationship with Love Island star Adam Collard, 28, 10 months ago, and now the couple are expecting their first child together.
Woods announced her pregnancy by posting a photo on Instagram of her French bulldog and a sonogram with the caption: “Hey baby.”
The photo gained almost 50,000 likes in less than an hour.
The news comes two months after Woods suffered a freak injury that threatened to derail her summer presenting duties.
Woods was forced to pull out of hosting Tyson Fury’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk on TNT Sports after a lampshade shattered above her head.
The presenter was left with cuts on her face and arm and underwent emergency surgery.
Woods will be back on our TV screens when she presents Eurosport’s coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games later this month.
She’ll then return to presenting Premier League football on TNT Sports, as well as regularly appearing on talkSPORT and other outlets.
