Fans baffled at one Premier League star’s value as the top 19 most expensive players in the world revealed

The top 19 most expensive players in world football have been revealed but the placement of one player has caused a stir.

Transfer Markt, a website from Germany, have a system whereby they crunch the numbers and players all over the world see their value go up and down depending on their performances.

Players clearly pay attention too, with Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly blocking the website after not being happy with his value.

Following on from the conclusion of the Euro 2024 and Copa America tournaments, a list of the most expensive players has been compiled.

There have been huge upgrades for the likes of Rodri, Jamal Musiala and Lamine Yamal, with the latter now valued at a ridiculous €120 million at just 17.

The top spot is shared by four superstar players, with Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe all rated at €180 million.

Completing the five is last term’s Premier League Player of the Season Phil Foden, who has a market value of €150 million.

He is ahead of England teammate Bukayo Saka by €10 million but after failing to score or assist in Euro 2024, many fans aren’t happy with where Foden is ranked.

One wrote: “How on earth did Foden still worth same amount after dropping stinkers at the Euros.”

Another said: “Foden shouldn’t be above Saka.”

A third added: “If you gave every club on the world an unlimited transfer budget, not one of them would spend €150m on a ‘Phil Foden’ .

A fourth commented: “No way Foden is worth more than Saka.”
