Ben White left a no-nonsense comment on his Arsenal teammate’s Instagram post after their latest pre-season victory – and fans are loving it.
Mikel Arteta’s side came from behind to record a 2-1 win over Manchester United on Saturday as goals from Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli sealed an impressive win at the SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles.
Somebody who featured in the game was Arsenal full-back Jakub Kiwior, who replaced Ayden Heaven at half-time.
The 24-year-old Poland international has been strongly linked with a move away from the North London club this summer, with Serie A champions Inter Milan keen on his signature.
In fact, Kiwior has said ‘yes’ to the Italian side, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as Arsenal close in on the signing of defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.
“It’s definitely nice and I’m glad there’s interest in me,” Kiwior told Super Express. “But I focus on what is now. Besides, there have been no talks with me yet.”
Amid talks surrounding his future, Kiwior uploaded two pictures from Saturday’s pre-season game against United on his official Instagram page.
However, the Poland international decided against posting a caption, which brought a comment from teammate Ben White.
White simply wrote the word “boring” in the comments section, and a flood of comments followed from the Gunners faithful.
One fan wrote: “Ben White commenting on Jakub Kiwior’s latest Instagram post in true Ben White fashion,” while another said: “Ben White commenting boring on Kiwior’s post lmao this guy is a menace to society.”
A third commented: “He totally just finds football boring in itself,” and a fourth said: “This guy is something else.”
A fifth added: “No way bro just commented boring.”
In other news, Ben White’s new corner tactic is likely to ruffle a few feathers in the Premier League this season.
During their pre-season clash against Bournemouth last week, the defender displayed some of goalkeeper-harassing antics that are normally reserved for competitive matches.
As you can see in the footage above, those behind the goal at Dignity Health Sport Park captured footage of White pushing and shoving in the box, trying to obstruct Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.
One fan noticed White ‘rubbing the back’ of Neto at the next corner kick, while another joked that Arsenal set-piece coach Nicolas Jover “studied set pieces and came up with a crazy tactic.”
