Liverpool fans are excited after seeing Arne Slot’s vision ‘come to life’ for the first time in training footage

Liverpool fans are excited for the Arne Slot era to begin after watching footage from training.

Dutchman Slot, who impressed the Anfield hierarchy through his work at AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord, was chosen to be Jurgen Klopp’s successor.

After nearly nine years, Klopp announced he would step down as Reds boss at the end of the 23/24 season.

With the new campaign fast approaching, Slot will be working around the clock in a bid to get as much information across to the Liverpool players as possible.

After losing 1-0 to Championship side Preston North End in a behind-closed-doors friendly last week, Liverpool travelled to the United States for their pre-season tour on Tuesday.

On Wednesday night, a short video taken during a training session was posted on social media, which got Liverpool fans very excited about what’s to come.

The likes of Jarell Quansah, Wataru Endo, Curtis Jones, Trey Nyoni, Sepp van den Berg and Mohamed Salah were all involved as they put together a fine move which ended with Conor Bradley scoring.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Oh this team is going to cook and I can’t wait.”

Another tweeted: “We love the direct passing!!”

A third fan added: “Slot ball giving us quadruple vibes.”

Someone else wrote: “Can’t wait for the pre season games man.”

A fifth commented: “Slot ball is going to cook, number 7 incoming let’s go Reds!”

Speaking ahead of the new season, midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai told the club’s official website: “This year, [the] Champions League is back again – where we belong – and we want to show ourselves there as well. We are going for the Premier League again.

“I’m feeling very good, getting ready for the new season. Big games ahead of us, big season, new challenges, so I think everybody is getting ready.”

The 23-year-old added: “It’s a little bit different – the style of playing, how we play, how we are with the ball and also against the ball.

“Everybody’s in from the training staff [and] we are getting to know them. I think everybody is happy with it and we are looking forward.”
