Man Utd fans are all making the same point after shock club targets move for Antony

United fans are all saying the same thing as reports of a potential exit from the club for Brazilian, Antony, have emerged.

In the summer of 2022, the Red Devils signed Brazilian winger Antony from Ajax for a reported fee of £82 million.

Given his previous performances with Erik ten Hag, Antony was expected to become a standout star under the Dutch manager and even scored on his debut against Arsenal.

However, since his promising start, the 24-year-old has struggled to prove his worth, only managing 11 goals in 82 appearances across all competitions for the Old Trafford club so far.

The performances of Antony brought even more pressure on Ten Hag, with the Dutchman’s signings all underperforming and all seemingly his choices.

Gary Neville even brought this up last season stating: “If he [Ten Hag] thinks Antony is an £85m player, that for me is such a worry. That is terrifying.

“What looks to have happened is Manchester United’s recruitment department can’t have gone and watched Antony and signed him off at £85 million.

“It looks like they’ve allowed Ten Hag to overrule them which is worrying because you need strength of leadership at the very top,” Neville added.

However, Antony may have an escape from the scrutiny of Old Trafford, as it was revealed Turkish club Beşiktaş have made a move for the Brazilian.

The report from Ertan Süzgün claims United are looking to sell Antony this summer, but the winger is reluctant to leave the club.

Following the news, United fans have taken to social media and brutally made their feelings very clear on the potential move.

One fan wrote: “We’re all on our Knees. Besiktas, make this happen and we will owe you eternally.”

Another added: “We should accept the very first offer they made before they change their mind.”

A third posted: “I am on my knees. Let him go. Please let Antony GO.”
