Manchester United are on the verge of completing their third signing of the summer transfer window as a deal is ‘almost done’.
Man United have snapped up Leny Yoro from Lille and Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna this summer.
Yoro joined the Red Devils in a transfer worth £58.9 million while Zirkzee commanded a fee of £35 million.
And Erik ten Hag is closing in on another new player ahead of the 2024/25 season.
According to Santi Aouna, Noussair Mazraoui ‘will join’ Man United this summer.
Bayern Munich have authorised the transfer, with the Dutch-born Moroccan international to fly to England in the next few days.
The report claims that if nothing changes, a medical will take place next Tuesday.
If Mazraoui completes his medical, he will be contracted at Old Trafford until 2029, with the option of another year.
Ten Hag wants the right-back for Man United’s Community Shield clash against Manchester City on August 10.
Mazraoui played under Ten Hag at Ajax – just like Andre Onana and Lisandro Martinez.
The 26-year-old made 137 appearances for the Dutch club before moving to Bayern in the summer of 2022.
He’s enjoyed two seasons in Germany, with a move to Man United expected.
It appears it will be one defender in and one defender out as Aaron Wan-Bissaka is poised to leave Man United for West Ham United.
Man United are currently in the United States for their pre-season tour and speaking to the press, Ten Hag wants more signings for squad depth.
“We are always looking for having squad depth cover for all the positions as possible double, because we know we go into the season and it’s a survival of the fittest,” he explained.
“But it needs to be the right player and finance, FFP all fits.
“These things we have to take into mind otherwise we can’t bring a good squad on the pitch.”
